We're factory direct JVC dealers and they included us in the very first allocation/shipment of the new NZ900 and NZ800 8K projectors.

Here's the 1st YouTube review of JVC's NZ800 with some comments on the NZ900:

Thank you for the post. JVC RS3200 is on my watch list.

Everyone who visits us are loving JVC's NZ800, NZ900 and the NZ9, which are all beautifully setup in our new suite of 16 Cinema Demo rooms.

If all goes as scheduled we'll be included in JVC's 1st allocation/shipment by the end of November, for the new NZ700 and NZ500 projectors.

Sony's BRAVIA Projector 9 and the BRAVIA Projector 8, and the VPL-XW7000ES are also set-up in their own dedicated rooms.

Awesome!

Are the projectors calibrated, or are you running them with settings tweaked out of the box?

Most are not calibrated, but set in the best picture mode, out of the box.

Out of the box settings are really good on these projectors... they get so close to what would be a calibrated state. I'd guess most eyes won't see a difference.

Any plans to run Epsons in your underground theater expo?

Yes, Epson is on our short list of UST and Long Throw projectors to add to our new suite of Cinema Demo rooms.

The huge city block square new facility we took over for our 2nd A/V showroom is completely filled with 18 luxury theater demo rooms so now we need to also decide which rooms are best for us to change to be Epson rooms.

I mean.. Robert... I'd say leave it as is and expand again.

I kid, of course.

Maybe you can double stack projectors in a couple of rooms?

Oh! That reminds me, someone was asking me about the equipment racks you house your projectors on down in that facility. Can you share the make/model? Do you sell them?

I'm honing in on the NZ700 as my next projector.

I know. I've said that before about the NX7 and the NZ7. But my X790R is now about 6 years old, I think? I was just noticing last night how impressive it is that my Lumagen can make a 6 year old projector look as good as it does, but I started noticing the tone mapping in some scenes from Alien Romulus having to really clamp down on contrasty scenes to keep it inside of my projector's output capability. First I've noticed it. Still looked great, but there are some really bright specular highlights in an otherwise very dark frame in that film.

All of our equipment racks are Middle Atlantic and we select different equipment racks based on the equipment set-up needs and we are direct authorized dealers for Mid Atlantic.

We do double stack projectors in 3 of the 16 theater demo rooms and we can convert more Cinema Demo rooms to accommodate two competing projectors.

Why NZ700 when you absolutely need the NZ800? More lumens for HDR, not giving up as much of that fabulous native contrast your X790R has. 8k eShift. 3D capable if you have 3D discs.

Spend the coin. Have no regrets.

DO IT!!!!!

Was literally in a discussion to buy one of the last NZ7s when I discovered our water heater died. Tankless water heaters cost a lot.

3D doesn’t matter. The rest is definitely worth considering. Will have to see what my prices are when the 700 lands. It will be next year anyway.

JStewart is just egging you on... burrowing that "buy, buy, buy" urge deep into your brain.

And I'm here to say that I 100% support him in his efforts. :-)

That said, I think you're going to have access to some seriously good deals on NZ8s via the used market. Killer projector! Just say'n!

No, no, that’s not it. Travis current pj has one of the best native contrast ratios out there. I just want him to be happy.
Well, maybe egging on a little bit, too. Sorry Travis.
No apologies needed. Nobody is egging me on more than me.
