Out of all the days in our yearly calendar, June 25th turned out to be hugely historic for broadcast TV. Some important trivia facts for you. Just think of the impact these two events had:

1) On this day in 1951, the first ever Color TV broadcast was made by CBS in Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, & Washington DC.of a variety show called "Premiere".

2) 16 years later to the day in 1967 the BBC orchestrated the first ever world-wide broadcast of a TV show called "Our World" which was seen in 24 different countries around the world.

June 25th - A day to be grateful in the AV community.
 
Yes, indeed!!!

I'd love to have been there in 1951 to experience that revolution in technology. Talk about mind blowing...

and look where we are today! Leaps and bounds better. Crazy
