(September 30, 2025) CEDIA 2025 was filled with eye-catching demonstrations, with one courtesy of Kordz. Known for its focus on engineering reliability into connectivity products, Kordz put its new Pro4 Active Optical HDMI cable to the test in dramatic fashion. With a television running off a laptop, the Pro4 was used not only to transmit flawless video but also to support a thirty-pound box of Cat6 cable. The message was clear: this is a product designed to handle the stresses of real-world installation.

In our interview, Ben Yeh, Operations Director at Kordz, walked us through the design philosophy behind the Pro4 and other new offerings. The company emphasizes three guiding principles — robust, fast, and effective — which show up in tangible ways. For example, the Pro4 can transmit 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 signals at lengths up to 100 meters, all while remaining DPL 48G Enhanced certified. Kevlar reinforcement ensures durability during pulls, tight turns, and demanding conduit runs, addressing a common pain point for installers. Just as importantly, the Pro4 doesn’t require external USB power at long distances, simplifying deployment in both residential and commercial environments.

Kordz also highlighted its new ONE HDMI Series, delivering 18Gbps performance in a cost-effective, eco-friendly package. Designed with thinner cabling, simplified shipping, and environmentally conscious packaging, the ONE series targets a wide range of applications where 48Gbps isn’t a necessity. Taken together, these products reflect Kordz’s push to support both high-end home cinema and practical integration scenarios.
