I use REW RTA for measuring microphone headamp distortions and comparing it to psychoacoustic threshold graph based on Csaba Horvath's ideas:
Actual stimulus is multitone signal and measurements are expressed in dBV. Now the problem arises when psychoacoustic FR graph (only magnitude) is imported as text FR and it needs to be moved up or down in level to track measurement. Scaling SPL offset does that, but in dBspl not in dBV. So, how could I solve all this?
One dirty solution is to calibrate 0dBspl = 0dBV and work in dBspl as if it were dBV. This is not very convenient as it requires lot of recalibration because dBspl is needed for other measurements during development.
Definitive measurement of nonlinear distortion with a simple harmonic spectrum multitone
How can we measure all nonlinear effects with one signal and apply the concept of worst-case analysis to multitone measurements?
