Impedance open circuit calibration problems.

Hi,

I am having issues with the open circuit calibration for impedance measurements. I have a known 100.2R reference resistor and use an ID14 mk2 for measurements. I have triple checked the cabling is correct.

The issue appears to be during the calibration sweep, right after the actual measurement finishes. The measurement drops drastically with about 1-2 seconds left and I get this error, as I have seen others also get:

The level meter shows nearly identical readings for the two channels throughout the sweep until the last second where the measurement drops and I get this error.

Edit: This is version 5.40

Update: Arta Limp calibration gives me a calibration of 0.01dB difference.

Please post images of your REW soundcard preferences and the Measure dialog before running the cal.

I've packed it all down since I got the measurements I needed from Limp, but I'll let you know if I try again. The dialog before calibration said something along the lines of leaving the load leads open, which they were.

Hi John. I recently picked this back up with a new project and still have the same issue. New cable jig, new interface, new PC and the latest version of REW.

Make sure there is no monitoring active on the interface mixer. One way to check that would be to leave all the connections as they are and just make a normal SPL measurement and look at the result, which should be flat.
