I am trying to optimize my car's equalizer settings. It would be nice if I could manually set the number of REW EQ filters and their respective frequencies to match the sliders in the car's equalizer.

Can that be done?

1. Press the "EQ" button

2. Look for the EQ filters button

3. Above shows settings for a 4 band PEQ. Deselect "AutoEQ" for all the other bands. Make sure you scroll to the right. Set the centre freq and Q to match your car's graphic equalizer. You will have to set the gains manually.

To be honest, I don't see much benefit in doing this. It's much easier to use an RTA and adjust your sliders and watch what happens to the curve.

You will have to set the gains manually.
You could use the "Optimise gains" action in the Filter tasks pane, and save the zero gain filter settings as a .req file to reload them later. It may not work very well, however, as graphic equalisers vary a lot in how the bands interact. Live adjustment using Pink periodic noise is likely to be easier.
