I'm posting this for fun and discussion. As my comfort level with REW increased I decided to tackle a house curve. My system and room was very 'bright' so I decided to tackle high frequencies
first and tune the bass later. On my first attempt to tame things down a bit I decided to go with a 2db downward slope starting at 1000hz. This made a noticeable improvement but I'm certain
that it's not going to be the final product. A couple of pics below.

Mine is a bit more drastic... but it sounds fabulous... left + right mains.

I think I have the HF part of the curve off to a good start so I've started tinkering with the bass. I lowered the LF to 100hz with 3db boost. The last curve seemed a bit boomy in the bass.

Over a 2 year period I played with Target Curves in an ideal experimental environment here. A Studio in a house, with three different play systems in domestic rooms.
Ultimately and surprisingly I have ended up with B&K. The turnover frequencies changed tone remarkably audibly. I think I settled on 2000Hz. This presents vocals and most instruments more and better to my ear than 1000

A good suggestion though if I've learn anything so far it's that each, system, room ,and listener are unique.

My system consists of line arrays which offer unique challenges when compared to your average point sources?
