Home theatre nut on the loose

Just thought I’d take the time to introduce myself. My name is Andy and I’ve been into home theatre for over 30 years my first set up was a VHS with phono leads to my hifi to create stereo sound from movies. Gradually upgrading over the years to Dolby digital, DTS and now finally I’m on ATMOS and it’s definitely been a journey. Sometimes frustrating but mostly enjoyable.

I’m currently using
Marantz SR6013 surround receiver
Marantz CD 5005
LG 4K Blu-ray player
Project Evo turntable.
My speakers are fr and centre Monitor Audio with mission 77ds rear and a pair of Polk atmos front night speakers.
Finishing off with a Yamaha sw050 subwoofer.

My room is quite small but serves the purpose well.
I’ve just discovered REW and A1 Evo and already using some supplied curves I’ve improved the sound field massively.
Next project is to sort my stereo sound /separation but so far I’m pleased with my setup.

I’m not an Audyssey user myself but have read good things about OCA’s A1 Evo. Impressive program.

Oh the good ole days of VHS... or should I say the bad ole days of VHS. The shows we used to record... crazy. My wife recorded her soap operas.

Episodes and episodes of Dallas and the odd film with poorly judged pauses to skip recording adverts
