I've been a studio engineer for 24 years. I'm currently setting up a room for mixing. 12"6' x 11' with a 9' ceiling.
Mackie HR824 and 2 Polk Audio PSW10 (subs aren't really for mixing, just for fun). I've worked in world-class recording studios as well as many less than ideal rooms. My Mackies with me almost everywhere I went simply because I was so familiar with them. This is is the most symmetrical space I have had them in yet. Empty room, acoustic treatment, speakers, UMIK-1 and REW. Wish me luck!
