Wow, very nice setup. I like the colors especially. Thanks for sharing. :)

@gooddoc Welcome to AV NIRVANA! Great to have you here!

You have quite the setup! Head over to our AV Showcase and create a page for your room. I'm sure folks would enjoy seeing it! (https://www.avnirvana.com/showcase/).

Thanks Todd. But I just realized I had the wrong speaker model for my ceilings, so I don't even know what my system is, forget about showcasing it! :). Haha.

All these speakers turn into model number soup after a while, lol.

As others have stated already "great looking place you have there."

And happy to have you with us. :T

That looks like an awesome setup!

Welcome to AV NIRVANA! Love the room! :T

Very nice. No room here and the Boss would not approve. :):)

Hello and welcome to the forum. Nice set up ya got there.

Impressive! Welcome to AV NIRVANA!

Glad to see you have found your way here, gooddoc!

M2 is one of the few speakers on my bucket list that I have not had chance to audition, but am not the least bit surprised to find in your stable. Your room looks great!

Thanks very much!
The M2 was a very good decision for me, and along with the 7 series makes for an extremely satisfying experience. The recent Atmos studio music releases are simply awesome to hear.

Welcome gooddoc, Bueatiful room! Did you decorate it or the wife? I'm leaving mine up to the wife, she has excellent taste.

Well, the wife kind of threw up her hands at a certain point, leaving it mostly to me.

Once I started hanging stuff of the ceilings, she knew she had lost the battle for sure :surrender:

Thx Matt! I took a look and saw some Geddes in your profile. Very nice!

Yes I do! I consider the Gedlee speakers and the newest JBL's like the M2 to be brother in arms. Optimally designed waveguides with large midbass drivers, simple 2 way, nearly perfect polar response.

I've had the chance to hear the M2's in two configurations now and came away impressed both times. The first was as you have them with the Crown amps biamplified with DSP crossovers. The second was with a passive crossover, which was nice too. Lower noise floor but to be honest, sounding a bit less dynamic to me. I didn't hear them for long or in optimal conditions, so I shouldn't draw strong conclusions.

Out of curiosity do you notice the noise issues some complain about? I have a guy in Texas who wants to hire me to help with his acoustics. He bought M2's and the amplifiers and is complaining about it, but I think he is complaining because others complain on the forums. When I heard them it was so minor I only noticed when I went looking for it.

Noise from the crown amps is likely just a matter of gain structure. They are very flexible, but most don't realize there are two levels of input sensititvity where a menu setting is required to change it. This may be necessary in his situation to reduce noise. This is a better option than decreasing output gain, which is also an option. So long as the maximum volume he'll ever realistically want is available to him(and there is likely way more than he needs :)), then tweaking the gain structure should achieve the goal. My gain structure runs out of steam by about 110-115 dB at my listening postion. But I don't need more than that.
