Help Windows 10

I suddenly can't get REW to work on my Surface Pro Win10 64 Pro machine. It worked fine until the latest Designers (MAKERS) Update from Windows.
Now REW quits at the "Initialising" screen upon starting.
I uninstalled, re-installed. Tried the beta software. I uninstalled and reversed to previous versions. Nothing helps.

Any ideas?

On my desktop (also Win 10pro64) everything still workls fine.

Also called "Makers" update, it's just the latest Win10 update.

Or 'Creators' update? There is a JVM bug logged against that which causes a Java crash when using the Windows look and feel (as REW does). I'm making a beta version with a different look and feel to work around that.

So I will have to wait for the beta update that fixes the bug.

I am facing the same problem

It is throwing a log file starting with
"EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005)"
