I'm a retired BBC sound mixer. I listen to just about every genre of music from Gregorian chant to jazz and most things inbetween. I have a library of vinyl, CD, DAT and 24bit downloads, and try and go to music events as often as possible. I have a soft spot for "La Maitrise de Toulouse", the music school choir in Toulouse. I'm not in search of esoteric hifi stuff, and my motto is "if it's not broke..." I use REW to sort my room modes out, and have three GIK monster bass traps behind the "sweet spot". The Harbeths are fatigue-free and I can listen on rainy days for hours at a time at good levels without any stress. That's what retired sound guys like to do, for as long as their hearing holds out. Happy listening. https://www.avnirvana.com/showcase/my-salon-with-music.41/
