As I do a fair bit of late night viewing (streaming and blu-ray), I want to invest in a pair of over-the-ears headphones.
But I'm keen on getting the full effect of the soundtrack (7.1; Atmos, etc.).
I've found that these days this can be done using normal headphones run through a process that achieves a virtual soundfield.
However, everything I've found so far either needs a decoding AV receiver, or has to connect to a pc/android/apple device.
All I want to do is connect to the TV, with a suitable device in the path e.g. Creative's Super XFI inline amp (apparently not suitable for TV).
Any ideas?
