Uncompromised ultra-high speed performance, stable connections, excellent construction, full support of HDMI 2.1b specification, industry leading physical specifications.
Summary
Earlier this year, THX and Pixelgen Design released nine variations of HDMI cables as part of THX's new Interconnect series of HDMI Ultra High Speed 2.1 cables. We test and evaluate the cables from both physical and operational perspectives, and find these cables deliver on promises across the board.
This edition of HDMI TEST BENCH explores THX's new Interconnect Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cables, which were developed in cooperation with the experts at Pixelgen Design.
Pixelgen was kind enough to supply us with seven different lengths to test, ranging from 0.5m (1.64 ft) to 15m (49.2 ft), which we divided into a three-part review series. In the first review installment, we test and evaluate 0.5m, 1.0m, 1.5m, and 2.0m all-copper cables, with the second reserved for longer copper 3.0m and 5.0m variations. In the third installment, we investigate the longest active optical cable model, which measures 15m in length.
Feature highlights as detailed by THX include:
100% uncompressed high-speed signal delivery up to 8K-10K up to 48Gbps
HDMI 2.1b Protocol Functionality including Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), Consumer Electronics Control (CEC), Dynamic HDR (High Dynamic Range), HDCP (High bandwidth Digital Content Protection) 2.X as well as all new gaming-centric features, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), QMS (Quick Media Switching), ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), and QFT (Quick Frame Transport)
Ultra High Speed HDMI® Cable Certification (HDMI 2.1b Category 3 for Optical lengths) with a scannable official UHD label affixed to the packaging
Validated to meet the highest THX standards, which include maximized 8K-10K HDMI equipment interoperability, in-system reliability, stringent fitness-to-application testing, hot-plugging, power sequencing, and time-lapsed pixel error testing
Smallest cable diameter possible, ensuring minimal bend radius and encouraging maximum flexibility without compromising reliable signal delivery
Pricing ranges from $39.00 to $399.00, and all sizes are available for order from THX or Pixelgen Design. THX says that most lengths ship in recyclable packaging; however, longer reach cables, available in 7.6m, 10m, and 15m, ship in a limited edition THX film tin for home theater and cinema aficionados to add to their collections.

Thanks Gerry... this was a fun one. They really nailed the build on these cables... I think buyers are going to be thrilled with how they handle and manage (in addition to getting guaranteed performance!).
