Since I made the setting corrections previously suggested March 3rd) I have been able to start response testing actual speakers. Sadly, I have encountered a new issue.
All of my response tests (20Hz – 20kHz sine sweep) look as if there is a high-pass filter somewhere. I instrumented the signal from the computer and confirmed that if I set zero dB reference at 1kHz the stimulus is -11.5dB at 20Hz. I repeated the test using the generator function. Same result. I then used a freeware function generator app to see if I got the same results. The function generator output was nearly flat. I assume there is a setting that will address this, but I am at a loss to imagine what it might be. A weighting filter?
Thanks in advance for your help
