(December 14, 2022) Focal is celebrating the success of its Sopra N°2, a loudspeaker created to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Focal and Naim joining forces, by creating two new exclusive finishes. The company says the finishes will only be applied to Sopra N°2 models, with pricing landing at $10,999 USD (each) and $13,999 CAD. Availability is expected to begin in February 2023.
One new variation is called "Brown Concrete," which inherits the design of the special edition finish created for the original 10th anniversary finish. With its metallic bronze front panel and chocolate concrete side panels, Focal claims this loudspeaker "seamlessly blends into any interior. It is a work of art, bringing a modern look to any living space."
The other variation is slightly more aggressive. Labeled "Black Ostrea," its coloring is inspired by the pearlized appearance of an oyster. The finish possesses an iridescent, concrete-looking finish on each side thanks to precise work carried out by expert applicators. While not as traditional as Focal's Brown Concrete, Black Ostrea should look phenomenal in a contemporary setting.
