Awesome! Three-head decks were certainly the way to fly back in the day if you were a serious recorder. I had two of them at one time. Those Yamaha decks are nice, I still have one tucked away in a closet. Hard to believe, those things cost like $500-600 list back then – do an inflation calculator on that! People don’t appreciate how much cheaper hi-fi gear is now compared to back then. Shoot, our $25 Roku Express does for us what $1500 worth of (three) high-end S-VHS VCRs did back in the early 2000’s. Pretty amazing!

Regards,
Wayne

Wow... Takes me back to way back when... I had a Sony Stereo Cassette Deck maybe a TC-K555 3 headed... Maxell metal or chrome hi bias, if I remember back that far... Stayed up late to get some FM Rock programs to tape... Radio waves... KAOS Los Angeles Jim Ladd and Rita Wilson... The Fish report... Texas Radio and Wolfman Jack...

I didn't realize how dusty it was until I after posted the pics. This morning armed with isopropyl alchohol, cue tips, lens cleaner and cloth, I cleaned all 6 of my decks and the corresponding equipment around them.
