FBQ1000 and PA memory

Hi. I don't know if I am in the right forum and if not, can someone move it to the right place. Anyway, I have been playing around with REW and would like to input my frequencies in the BFD. Every time I do so, I chose PA as a filter mode, then select my filter preset and, manually insert the frequency and gain and press store. I do this for all the frequencies I am interested in. This is for a sub so not that many from 20 to 160Hz. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to keep these frequencies in memory. Every time I restart the BFD, I don't see any red lights except the "store" flashing, the 2 green channel led which should be only the left channel and the preset number oh and the in out is green.If I go back in my preset I don't see anything and have to start back again. How do you keep these frequencies in memory and BTW, I don't see any Lo on the display to indicate it is locked. Thank you.

I can tell you it has been a few minutes since I fooled with the BFD. Still have one in my closet.

Seems like I remember having to press Store twice to save... but not sure.

Well I read Brucek's review, the Behringer manual, changed presets to #5 as suggested, entered my frequencies, pushed store to register the frequency and then a 2nd time and this for every frequency. I shut it down and when I restarted it, it showed channel 5 but no frequency lights on the panel. When I went back in, it started a 40Hz instead of 20 like I had set it. Pushing in the in/out button on music playback did not change anything in the sound. What am I doing wrong?

Well I really don't know what is going on. I am posting 4 measurements that I took this morning with the Umik1. Two of them are without any filters but at different levels and the other 2 at same levels with the BFD in the picture. Remember, I am a noob at this and this is a sub I built to listen to music in my HT as well as watch movies. Only the sub was working when I took the measurements and I can't even tell by the graphs if this sub is half decent. I will try to post a picture of the BFD in standby meaning no music is input. The only difference when playing music is the far left green led's are jumping around.

I just had a brain fart. I have been inputting all my frequencies into 1 channel only be it 4 or 5 and storing them there. Now since I want to use this as parametric eq, should I only input 1 frequency per channel, store that and move on to the next?

About the only “gotchas” I remember is that it has to be set for parametric EQ. I don’t recall if both channels can be programmed separately, but I’m sure they can.

I also remember some kind of “x10” multiplier that had to be set correctly. A common problem would be that people thought they were adjusting 60 Hz, but were in reality adjusting 600 Hz. If you’re not hearing a difference switching it in and out, that might be the problem.

I wrote Behringer today, well actually musictribe.com. It seems there was an update to keep this exact same thing from happening. I don't know if I need the update since I can't tell what software version I have. Hopefully, they will help me. As for the X10 multiplier, that starts at 200 Hz since it reads .20 KHz. I tried everything so far, always set on parametric EQ and nothing seems to work. Thinking of getting a minidsp. I will wait and see what musictribe has to say.
