(August 14, 2020). Music venues largely remain shuttered around the world, which has put the breaks on tours and popular music festivals. To support musicians during these pandemic times, JAZZ RE:FRESHED has announced plans to take its 2020 event online. Next Sunday (August 23, 2020) between 5-9pm BST, show organizers will stream live performances on JAZZ RE:FEST’s YouTube channel straight from The Mill Studios in London.

MQA and Bluesound will simulcast audio from the event in MQA studio-quality audio using Bluesound’s BluOS Controller app. This app allows Bluesound hi-res speaker owners and BluOS enabled devices from NAD Electronics, DALI Loudspeakers, and Monitor Audio to enjoy the show. According to MQA, event audio will be captured at 192kHz resolution, folded using MQA’s music origami technique, and unfolded by Bluesound’s MQA compatible gear.

JAZZ RE:FEST has scheduled performances from artists such as Binker Golding, Sahra Gure, Steam Down, Ms Maurice, Golden Mean, Jas Kayser, and Anthony Joseph. Donations are encouraged.

MQA has also made a series of HD video and MQA audio performances available from the British Music Embassy Sessions. These sessions can also be found as audio-only tracks on TIDAL. Current viewable artists include King Nun, Theon Cross, Noya Rao, Daniel Casimir & Tess Hirst, and Eloise MP3. Click here to view the performances.
