Hi guys,

I use a Tascam US323 audio interface for recording and playback and to take measurements in REW.

My question is how to have all the gain setting back without going through the elaborate process again, meaning I don't want to fiddle any controls every time.

I need to use an external power amplifier also.

Tks..Mallick

It depends how precise you want to be. Most of us are not too concerned with exact levels as we are normally only concerned with relative levels as for PEQ, e.g. If that is your situation, just calibrate to choose convenient settings as maybe; 1 o'clock for input and 2 o'clock for output on the Tascam. I do this and then set my AVR to gain to the value that provides the correct level (-12.5 dB in my case). That way it is easy to just reset all 3 levels each time you setup for REW. You may want to try resetting and measuring several times to assure that the variation in level is acceptable for you. It is less that 0.5 dB in my case, but it will depend on the sensitivity of your gain controls.
