What is your go to for Driving Music?

Say, you have to take a long drive someplace and nobody else is with you.. What do you play?

My go to music is RUSH Chronicles..

Get your motor running
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
In what ever comes my way

Born to be wild...
...you get the idea!

man, now, you got that song struck in my head..

Journey to relax or some Metallica to stay awake lol.

something like this..

lol..

I mostly listen to talk radio. Mark Levine & Rush Limbaugh are my favs! Other than that, we have WGLF 104 FM which plays strickly 70's and 80's rock. Great station. Then CD's.

I used to listen to talk radio but it is all just the same old trash talk so I got tired of it.. I would rather listen to RUSH.. :)

My go to for driving is NPR. Driving time is when I catch up on the news.

I used to listen to NPR and always listened to "Car Talk".

I spent a long time making iTune playlists from all my CDs that Ive ripped over the years. I have 8 playlists but my "all play favorites" playlist has over 6000 songs. If I so choose I like my "Jazz" playlist with 800 songs and thats my usual one I listen too on longer trips but it depends on my mood and time of day.

Impressive Tony.. With that many songs, you will always enjoy your road trips. :)

The sad part is that 70% of them were ripped in high quality mp3 VBR years ago and to go through them all again and re rip them in a better format is just to time consuming so I just have left it that way. mp3 is kind of dead and not ideal but at least I had the foresight to do them in a higher quality setting.

Yeah, As technology improves, the need to get updated copy's is needed but who has the time? :)
