(May 20, 2026) Dirac and NAD are continuing to deepen their partnership, this time bringing Dirac Live Bass Control to several of NAD’s BluOS-enabled streaming amplifiers and preamps.
The upgrade is now available for the NAD M33, M33 V2, M10, M10 V2, M10 V3, and C 658, giving owners the option to move beyond traditional room correction and into more advanced bass optimization.
Dirac Live Bass Control is a technology designed to improve bass response throughout a room by co-optimizing speakers and subwoofers. Using measurement data gathered from the system, the software analyzes how low frequencies interact within the listening space, then works to smooth the response, reduce boominess, and improve consistency from seat to seat. That can lead to tighter crossover integration between speakers and subs, more even bass distribution across the room, and greater flexibility in placing subwoofers. Dirac says the platform also manages phase alignment at low frequencies, helping preserve timing accuracy throughout the entire audio spectrum.
For NAD users, this expands the capabilities of products that already offer Dirac Live Room Correction. Once updated to BluOS version 4.16.6, compatible models can add Dirac Live Bass Control through an optional license purchase. A separate Dirac Calibration Mic Kit is also available for users who need measurement hardware.
One particularly useful feature for enthusiasts is the ability to store multiple Dirac filter presets. That allows owners to create different calibration profiles for various seating positions or even room conditions, such as whether curtains are open or closed, then switch between them directly within the BluOS Controller app.
Dirac Live Bass Control is available now for supported NAD products.
