Dipole/Bipole vs Monopole surround speakers for a 5.0 or 7.0 system

Looking for feedback on using vs dipole/bipole vs monopole speakers for surround sound duty. For a 5.0 or 7.0. system would Not be for an ATMOS system, my room is pretty narrow 12'5" with a sloped ceiling and 26" long. From what I've read some liked the dipole/bipole speakers better for movies, harder to localize, but not so much for music. I would probably lean toward the movie side of the surround spectrum.

Currently using JBL 4367's for mains, JBL LSR308 for surrounds in a 5.0 system. I don't use a center channel, primarily set up for a single user.

I use upwards facing rear mono/omni-poles to create a diffuse sensation, music primarily, but works (for me) on movies also. Whether discrete or synthesized via upmix.

but not so much for music.

I think this is a remnant of those gaudy MCH SACD mixes that put instruments behind you for the wow, that sounds nothing like reality, i.e. I don't ever sit on stage with musicians in studio or concert hall when listening live. YMMV.
