So after review of the manual I found this section. It seems too state based on audio playback format it would auto switch which speakers output based on audio format ATMOS to DTSX if 15 channels are hooked up. I do not feel like I have noticed this happen ever.

Hey - I totally missed your first post. Did you ever sort that out?

I do believe it can be configured for playback of Auro vs Dolby/DTS when 15 channels are attached. Did you dig deeper?

I was just informed that a HEOS update was issued for this recently (SiriusXM). I will have to check my 4 AvRs and update.

I used a mixer for my front wides. So my system is essentially set up on the AVR as a 7.4.6. But plays 9.4.6. Essentially yes, I figured it out @Todd Anderson
