(September 6, 2018) Originally revealed at ISE 2018, StormAudio has attacked CEDIA 2018 with its highly anticipated its ISP 3D.20 ELITE processor (shipping now). Having missed its expected release date by nearly four months, the processor officially joins three other StormAudio preamps (offering 8-, 16-, and 32-channels of native onboard processing, respectively), rounding out an impressive stable of gear capable of driving an exacting immersive audio experience.

The ISP 3D.20 ELITE’s ($16,000 MSRP) feature list includes 20 XLR outputs and onboard Dirac Live room calibration. It also offers an installer-friendly graphical user interface called WebUI and a web-based diagnostic and troubleshooting system designed to make life simpler for custom installers servicing client emergencies.

Much like StormAudio’s 16- and 32-channel models, the ISP 3D.20 ELITE offers 9.x.6 native processing for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X encoded media, in addition to decoding of Auro-3D content. Owners can hook-up between one and five individual subwoofers for an incredible deep bass experience.

The processor was featured as part of Starke Audio’s CEDIA demo room, helping to form a collection of $190,000 of gear. The room commanded a high-level audio experience, loaded with dynamics and pinpoint audio accuracy.
