This is a major overhaul here... only one seat on the front row now. Removed front wall absorption and added diffusion panels. Added 2" thick rug with decor rug on top. Removed side wall absorption panels and framed tapestries.

I think the video is too large to upload into the post, but you can view it on our website: https://www.cedarcreekcinema.me/

Wow @Sonnie, that is one beautiful room... Love the Stratocaster on the floor... And your kit, unbelievable... The room a little more lively for 2 channel stereo now? I bet is sounds deliciously AV NIRVANA... Wow, someones dream come true...

Thanks... and yeah. I think with the drastic change... removing those side panels... removing the recliners on either side of me on the front row... replacing those front panels with diffusors... a lot of change for sure. The combination does seem to make it a bit more lively, bigger soundstage, but imaging still seems to be spot on.

Do you have any acoustic treatments behind the screen??? Makes me wonder what a little more diffusion back there might do...

It's an older screen... not acoustically transparent. I have thought about swapping out screens, but it would be a serious task beyond what I am game for at the moment.

Nicely done....Sonnie at the helm. :T

Thanks guys.

lol... I sold the Classic 9's... so I'm back to no "wide" speakers. I could move the Electromotion ESL's from the rear surround to the wides, as they are much smaller, then use the Motion 12's I still have for the rears, which I've use there previously. However... I really did not notice any benefit to the wide speakers, so I think I'm gonna stick with 7.x.4 for now.

Wow... LOVE IT. That room looks like an AV Paradise!!!! I've never heard a setup with front wides. How active are they?

Sonnie, your going to have to update your "My AV System" so we can keep up... It is going to be a full time job... :reading:

I could not tell that they were all that active. Those 15A's are so huge, they project a massive soundstage, so I think it makes it more difficult to actually notice wides doing anything. I definitely can't see it being worth spending very much on wides if I did decide to go back to them, but I don't think I will.

Seems like I have to update it every week... now updated again. :dumbcrazy:

Very nice, enjoy in good health. I'm assuming the front seat is for music listening?

Thanks... and yes.... it's where I sit for everything. :T

Love it! The Pink Floyd Decor, the rugs, the front stage ... well, everything looks so well put together and tasteful. Don’t have to say anything about your gear. It is out of this world!

Thanks... and you're not all that far away, so maybe you can visit some time.

I would love too! Maybe I could do some shopping at your store too ;)

@Sonnie Very nice setup! I enjoyed your video. Do you listen to music in stereo or multichannel? Just curious.

Mostly stereo for music via Roon... my own library on the server and qobuz.

I do watch some video concerts in multi-channel all along, but the more serious listening is two-channel.

Thanks Sonnie. Most of my music (on my NAS) is DSD 5.0. Of course, I have plenty of ripped RBCDs which are 2.0. I also use Amazon HD, mostly for jazz, which in all cases so far is 2.0.

Thanks again. Marcus
