55" C7 Dolby Vision
There aren't a ton of things you can adjust in Dolby Vision. To quote CalMAN:
Working with LG and Dolby, CalMAN sends special Dolby Vision "Relative Mode" metadata to put the TV's Dolby Vision engine into pass-through mode. This process calibrates the Dolby Vision "Cinema" mode only, so make sure the TV is in the Dolby Vision picture Cinema mode before starting the calibration. You then calibrate the grayscale to 2.2 gamma and D65 white point using the 2pt and 20pt white balance controls in the regular TV menu system.
After you calibrate the grayscale to 2.2 gamma and D65, you will use CalMAN to create a custom Dolby Vision config file, by taking White, Black, Red, Green, and Blue measurements. You will put the new custom Dolby Vision config file on a USB Stick and plug it into the 2017 LG OLED TV. You then need to play a piece of Dolby Vision content. The TV will display an onscreen message asking whether you want to load the new custom Dolby Vision config file.
To verify the results of your calibration, first set your pattern generator's Dolby Vision metadata to "Absolute Mode." Then, verify the calibration results against D65, P3 Primaries, and ST 2084 EOTF.
So you take some pre-readings, then CalMAN calculates a config file based upon those readings, you put the config file on a usb drive, plug that drive into the display, switch the generator out of and back into Dolby Vision mode and then the display will load the config file.
