(May 6, 2026) The last major headline surrounding Bose came in late 2024 when the company announced plans to acquire McIntosh Group, bringing iconic high-end brands McIntosh and Sonus faber under the Bose umbrella. Now, the company is shifting attention back to its own consumer lineup with the introduction of an entirely new Lifestyle Collection, a wireless home audio platform that blends Dolby Atmos playback, multiroom streaming, and simplified setup into a modern ecosystem designed for flexible living spaces.

The new collection includes three products: the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Speaker, the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar, and the Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer. Bose says the system is designed to scale from standalone music playback in a single room to a full wireless 7.1.4-channel immersive home theater configuration.

The centerpiece of the lineup is the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar, which Bose describes as its first major soundbar redesign in more than a decade. Inside are six full-range drivers, including two upward-firing channels for Dolby Atmos playback, four front-firing drivers, a center tweeter, and two proprietary PhaseGuide drivers designed to create a wider, more spacious presentation than the enclosure’s physical dimensions might suggest. The soundbar also incorporates Bose technologies such as TrueSpatial processing for immersive expansion of non-Atmos content, SpeechClarity dialogue enhancement, and CustomTune room optimization, which uses a mobile device microphone to tailor playback performance based on room acoustics.

Complementing the soundbar is the compact Lifestyle Ultra Speaker, a wireless speaker system featuring two front-firing drivers and one upward-firing driver. Bose says the design draws from a modernized version of its long-running Direct/Reflecting speaker philosophy, using room reflections to help create a broader soundstage from a relatively small cabinet.

Rounding out the collection is the Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer, a wireless bass module designed to handle low-frequency reproduction duties when paired with the soundbar or Ultra Speaker. Bose says its CleanBass processing and QuietPort acoustic technologies are engineered to maintain deeper, cleaner bass performance while minimizing distortion at higher playback levels.

One of the more interesting aspects of the new platform is Bose’s decision to embrace a relatively open ecosystem. The collection supports Google Cast, Apple AirPlay, Spotify Connect, Bluetooth, and Alexa integration, and allows grouping with compatible third-party speakers via Google Home and AirPlay. The new products also lean heavily into furniture-friendly aesthetics, with textured fabric grilles inspired by home furnishings and curved glass accents on the soundbar and subwoofer intended to help the systems blend more naturally into living spaces.

The Bose Lifestyle Ultra Speaker is priced at $299, while a limited-edition Driftwood Sand finish version with a white oak base will sell for $349. The Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar lands at $1,099, and the Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer carries an $899 price tag. Bose says all three products will begin shipping on May 15, with preorders opening today through Bose.com.
