(January 31, 2024) BluOS, a highly-regarded multi-room music management platform that supports audio streaming up to 24 bit / 192kHz, has introduced updates to its integration with Control4 and RTI control systems at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2024 trade show in Barcelona. These updates focus on enhancing user experience and expanding compatibility with streaming services and hardware. The Lenbrook Media Group has also announced that BluOS products are gaining remote monitoring capabilities through Domotz.

Enhancements to Control4 and RTI Integration

BluOS says its latest certified drivers enable seamless control of popular streaming services such as Pandora and Presto Music. This development is particularly notable for Control4 integrators, who now have the ability to offer clients enhanced playback options, including shuffle and repeat functionalities for the Now Playing queue.

The drivers were crafted with inputs from engineers and custom installation professionals, aiming to provide a comprehensive and feature-rich user experience. These drivers leverage the capabilities of BluOS 4.0, enhancing Control4 and RTI control systems with a more effective multi-room solution. The update supports flexible and scalable audio distribution across up to 64 zones.

Andrew Haines, BluOS Product Manager, emphasizes the importance of custom integration in delivering high-quality audio experiences in smart home environments. He stresses, “Our enhanced integration with Control4 and RTI aims to empower professionals with advanced features, seamless integration options, and support for additional music services, ensuring their clients enjoy the best in audio technology.”

And, as an added bonus, BluOS is broadening its hardware support to include the NAD M66 Streaming DAC Preamplifier and Cyrus Audio's Classic-Stream and Stream-XR streamers. Additionally, mini-driver support for BUGS music on Control4 systems has been introduced.

Remote Monitoring Through Domotz

BluOS has also announced its integration with the Domotz platform for remote monitoring of BluOS products. This marriage allows integrators to monitor and configure BluOS-enabled products remotely through the Domotz cloud platform, adding a layer of convenience and enhanced service capability. Most importantly, it allows integrators to detect and resolve issues early, thereby minimizing service disruptions.

The BluOS platform, including the Domotz integration, will be demonstrated at Stand 2H700 at the Integrated Systems Europe Show in Barcelona, Spain, from January 30 to February 2, 2024.
