Now, I vaguely remember the original Blade Runner back in 1982.. The original film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry in 1993.

In regards to the upcoming release, below is the trailer.

I may have to revisit the original before checking this one out..

In theaters October 6, 2017

What do you guys think?

I recently re-watched the original and the "Director's Cut" (which is sans Harrison Ford's VO). IMO, it still holds up quite well for a 35 year old sci-fi movie. Really, that can't be said about too many sci-fi movies from that era. There's Blade Runner, Alien, and......???

I am very much looking forward to Blade Runner 2049!

Yeah, I have to revisit the original and will try to catch the directors cut..

I agree, Alan. It's really impressive when films that old hold up. Blade Runner, Alien, Star Wars... one of my favorite flicks (The Right Stuff) still has a good edge of realism for what they had to work with.

This Blade Runner reboot looks interesting!

Todd, you mention "The Right Stuff"... I totally forgot about this one.. Will have to find a dvd copy.. :)

Ahhh yes, The Right Stuff. Forgot about that one. Been a very long time since I've watched it. Looks like it's not available on Netflix, and a $4 rental on Amazon. Might just have to buy the BR.

RIP Sam Shepard.

Alan, try your local library.. They have a lot of very old movies.. :)

The Studio finally released it on Bluray about 2 years ago...I believe it's a remastered Anniversary edition. Comes with a book.

I've seen that flick upwards of 200 times. My brother and I watched it obsessively as kids.

The audio on the Blu-ray is a tad thin... but still fun
