Bass Hunters Analysis: The Trinnov Trailers

Infrasonic Bass: :5stars:
Atmospheric Bass: :5stars:
LFE Bass: :5stars:

Well AV NIRVANA, Bass Hunters has been on the back burner for far too long – one year to be exact. So, I'd like to introduce you to a completely revamped version of the show. I've made technical changes on my end that will allow me to harvest and analyze data far more quickly, while also completely trashing the old format of the show in favor of something that's faster paced and more to the point. You'll find three distinct sections – Infrasonics, Atmospherics, and LFE Bass – where I'll illustrate the kind of bass characteristics encoded in a film (or films). Then, at the end, you can watch full clips paired with an analysis tool if you choose. Also, I've developed new graphics and chapter markers that reduce the amount of time I need to talk – ultimately making transitions in the show faster.

Hope you enjoy.

Big shout out to our partners in this venture: Kaleidescape, Ascendo Immersive Audio, Sutherland AV Marketing, and SignalScope X! Their contributions to the show are more than noteworthy, so please click on their links, see what they're about, and give them your business. They are all excellent in their own right!

On this episode of Bass Hunters, we dive into the insane, bass-heavy world of Trinnov's immersive sound Trailers. There are currently ten available, seven of which can be downloaded onto your Kaleidescape system for free. If you aren't a Kaleidescape owner, don't dispare because you access all of them in either 2.35:1 or 16:9 aspect ratios, in Atmos and Auro-3D, by clicking here and visiting Trinnov's website.

Enjoy the show!

Please do! I'm excited to have it alive again.

Just downloaded them on K-Scape... thanks!

Very interesting to see that Trinnov is creating these demos. I enjoyed your over view of the trailers and ULF details. Video was interesting and long having included the full duration of the demos. Video is only about 15mins with the bullet points. I would have been happy with just 15 seconds of demos at the end after your analysis. BUT either way enjoyed seeing the show is continuing.

Are there any plans on doing any shorts for future bass hunter new uploads? I also liked the "Rings," the best for the demos.

Yeah, the length is a bit deceiving. Future episodes will be shorter on the front end as I'll cut down on the chit-chat. This one was a bit more chatty since it was the first in a long time.

The end clips are really meant to be there as reference for anyone interested in watching, with the ability to navigate from clip to clip resting in the chapters listed in the description.

For shorts, you mean a 60 second video?

I've thought about it (sort of!). One idea I've had is mixing in episodes that recommend three demo scenes from three different movies. But, that could be done in a YT short format where on scene from one film is given a 60 second breakdown.

You think something like that would be appealing?

Maybe for shorts, viewers could submit requests for analysis of a favorite scene? That might be kind of cool!

Attention spans are pretty short nowadays for a lot of viewers. I have noticed that, I feel, shorts allow people to view something quickly and get interested. Then click on the full length video. I live on youtube. Things I have seen channels use are shorts to create a starting point for excitement. Click bait if you will. Then if you have long interviews or tech talks then 10mins or less videos are uploaded on those topics. Then a full length video is also uploaded.

Kind of like your "In this Episode," you break some of the topis down to smaller videos or shorts depending on length. If you have ten topics only do a few topics as shorter videos. 60 - 90mins video may have 3-5 short videos. Just a thought. I watch a lot of 1-3 hour interviews, journals and other educational excerpts that I only new because of shorts or a 5min clip from a long lecture. That peaked my interest so I watched/listened to the full length video with interest.

Loved the CEDIA videos either way, so your doing a great job either way. :T
