I’ve tried searching high and low for something like this, and know it’s somewhat a niche thing/idea, but have been out of the home theater game for a while and wasn’t sure if this is a thing.
I love to tinker with stuff, and don’t mind if it’s unorthodox to pull off, but I’m wanting to find a way to apply room correction and EQ and output it via HDMI E-Arc/Arc to a soundbar (Nakamichi Dragon). Waiting for house to be built so I can expand back into a full HT system, but mainly looking for something to mess around with in the mean time.
Wasn’t sure if there was an AVR solution that could dissect Dolby Atmos content for the channels that the Dragon has (“11.4.6”; really 11.2.6 in stock form, but I’ve added my two Exodus Audio Maelsteom-X folded horns to the sub stage and have the stock subs HPF’d to 70hz to act as more of a full front stage of the bar) so I have EQ/room correction on the horns, but want to apply that to the soundbar and all its channels as well. Is this something that is possible? I don’t mind spending some $ to have a great Atmos receiver/processor for once the house is built, but was hoping there was something that would allow me to do what I want with the soundbar as well while I wait.
