This is a throw-down thread. Let loose!

There's a lot useless sub-par under-performing gear and accessories on the market. We've all seen it – some of us have probably bought it. Now it's time to talk about it ;-)

I'm going to kick it off with this:

Foam Acoustic panels. Name your brand, they're all about the same. They certainly have the "look" of being a performance product. But...seriously. If you're going to look for inexpensive solutions, go DIY (or find a friend that can help)!

Not necessarily AV related but I am sure folks here can relate.

I can't tell you how many Router extender equipment I bought to get wi-fi signal to a dead area in the house. All junk, I tell you!

Finally, after spending tons of money on junk, I decided to get an antenna/wi-fi extender since 1) I needed an antenna for a small tv and I needed a wi-fi extended. Well, let me tell you, the antenna portion is junk. Can't hardly get 20 channels OTA but the wi-fi is a miracle. Seriously, I can stream without buffer issues or anything.. I ended up keeping it and getting another antenna (standalone) to get some channels.

:)

I am not sure if this is what you meant but I think the below is kind of useless for AV equipment..

AMERICAN AUDIO / LED dB-DISPLAY

lol. :)
