Audio-Technica Ships Its New ATH-M60x Monitor Headphones
(Audio-Techinca) The all-new ATH-M60x Monitor Headphones(July 30, 2018) Previously unveiled in April as an new addition to its acclaimed M-Series of headphones, Audio-Technica’s ATH-M60x On-Ear Professional Monitor Headphones are now available for purchase.
The ATH-M60x is a closed-back, low-profile, headphone designed for studio, broadcast, and mobile applications. And despite its modest size (weighing 7.1 ounces without the cable), the headphone utilizes the same proprietary 45mm large drivers found in its popular ATH-M50x model. These drivers are outfitted with rare earth Neodymium magnets and copper-clad aluminum wire voice coils, both of which the company says lends to “exceptional clarity” through the upper-end and a bass response down to 15Hz.
The ATH-M60x’s low impedance design (38 ohms) makes for high output for nearly any source.
Fit and finish includes a memory foam headphone and premium earpads that provide exceptional sound isolation. The headphone ships with a 1.2m to 3m coiled cable and both 1.2m and 3m straight cables. A protective carry pouch is also included for those that like their music on the go.
