Apple TV +

I am not sure if Apple should get into this. While the price is low ($4.99), the catalog is a few apple originals. Hard to compete against say Disney +..

Any thoughts?

Curious as to what the originals are... they'd have to be really good. Netflix is loaded with some good originals.

Yeah, there isn't much in terms of original programming for Apple.

They will have a tough time battling it out with Disney + as well as Netflix and Amazon Prime along with all the other smaller streaming channels.

That's not too bad of a list, if they get them up and going pretty quickly. I know a lot of people that binge watch a whole season in a couple of nights, so it wouldn't take long to go thru the shows that are interesting to some. After that month or two, they'd drop it.

True but the question is not quantity of shows but the quality of the shows. Reviews of past original content wasn't that good.

Ahhh... well that would not be good for sure. Of course I don't care because I am getting rid of my Apple 4K... so I won't ever know.

To add, word is that Apple is trying too keep all material “Family Friendly”. This could restrict content creation etc.

That would hurt Apple+ for sure. After all, kids will gravitate toward Disney + but Apple will need something to pull adults in especially adult males.

In a consumption society like we have I dare say quantity does matter. What’s more interesting is the I deserve attitude. I have been reading some articles on the new streaming services and comments people are making. It’s a how dare them attitude of I need them all but this is rediculous they can’t expect me to pay for them, I’ll just go back to pirating. Sometimes you really see societies true colors come out.

Reminds me of the story of a person driving across town to save $1 on some item but spending more than $1 on the gas to get there. lol.
