Summary
SpinPlay positions itself as a serious alternative to typical all-in-one record players by combining thoughtful acoustic engineering with a robust, furniture-grade build. Andover Audio tackles one of the category’s biggest challenges—vibration control—with its IsoGroove isolation system, while also delivering a flexible feature set that extends well beyond vinyl playback. In real-world use, the system proves capable of anchoring a compact, multi-source music setup that includes streaming, discs, and wireless listening. With strong attention to design, usability, and system expansion, SpinPlay aims to bridge the gap between convenience and performance in a way that’s rarely seen in this space.

Andover Audio’s SpinPlay doesn’t look or feel like the cheaper all-in-one record players that have flooded the market. From the moment you see it, there’s a clear sense that this is something more substantial.

Its compact footprint is part of the appeal, but nothing about the design feels disposable or toy-like. The cabinet has real heft, the hardcover top gives it a more refined presence than a typical clear dust cover, and the overall build suggests that Andover approached SpinPlay as serious audio gear first, with portability as a sweet secondary benefit. And that matters because all-in-one turntables have a difficult job. They need to spin a record, track a delicate groove, and produce sound from the same basic enclosure. That’s where vibration and resonance can become real problems. Andover addresses that challenge with its IsoGroove isolation system, which separates the turntable platform from the speaker section to help keep playback clean.

SpinPlay also offers a surprising amount of flexibility. With optical and analog inputs, USB playback, Bluetooth receiving and broadcasting, and both line and sub outputs, it can become the centerpiece of a compact system built around vinyl, CDs, streaming, wireless headphones, or powered speakers.

Of course, thoughtful design only gets you so far. Sound quality still has to deliver.

So I spent time listening to a wide range of music, tested the built-in speakers, explored its system-building potential, and took nearfield measurements to see how much performance Andover has packed into this compact design. Oh, let's not forget about IsoGroove vibration control... that was tested too!
