Amtrak Coast Starlight Northbound Northern Calif to Oregon

Anybody take any of those Amtrak trains for sightseeing across America?

I am interested in taking one of these train rides.

If you have taken this one or another one, which have you taken?

Do you recommend it? Any thoughts?

Took a long trip from Denver to Chicago, to Washington DC and down to Charleston SC in1966. Round trip. Had a ball. But was waaay before Amtrack.

I used to take lot of road trips to see America and I have hit just about every state, not all, but the vast majority.

But, I would like to take a scenic train trip one day..
