Hi!

I have a quick question: I'm using v5.40 and can't find the alignment tool. I need to align 16 speakers and want to test how it works.
 
Cool. How can I apply these corrections to the original signals?
 
By taking note of the settings you used to achieve alignment and transferring them to your DSP.
 
Great! Is there any possibility of exporting that time-domain data as an impulse response, along with the EQ filters?
 
Don't you think it would help if you told us what DSP you are using? Most of them require you to manually dial in the delays. Maybe in a config file, maybe on the control panel, whatever.

What I think you’re asking is if you can apply a correction file as a wave file. If so @moedra had a good procedure in another thread , but the link is broken now. 404

@ddude003 makes fir filters on a daily basis ;) , maybe he can help.
 
Well, I would go a little farther than @Keith_W and ask for more intimate details of the OP's hardware and software small signal chain from one end (source) to the other (speakers) and everything in-between...

Otherwise, I can only offer generic advice... Folks like @serko70 (aka OCA on UTube) and @moedra have documented how using REW's elegant maths can get you to a FIR filter... Even using rePhase in the process... If that is even what the OP needs for his kit?

If you can time aline 2 speakers then you can time aline 16... There is a lot of material online that teach the basics...

I am going to look up what they documented.

I perform sequential measurements using REW, routing the signal through Reaper to the output speakers.

My goal is to align a third-order Ambisonics system. Currently, I perform frequency adjustments in REW using impulse responses (IRs) with EQ filters; I then export the impulse response for each channel and load them into 16 convolvers (Venn Audio) placed on Reaper's output monitoring bus, routing each one to its respective channel.

The idea is to incorporate time-alignment corrections into this WAV (IR) file to create a single file that corrects both frequency and alignment.

In other words, your goal is to create FIR filters? Linear phase or minimum phase? That's quite an ambitious project if you are planning to use REW and rePhase for the whole thing.
