A good find and deal?

A found a person selling a pair of M&K S-1B with matching stands and subwoofer M&K V-1B. He wants $200, but I got it down to $125 for the whole thing. From looking at the pics on the add and what he's been telling me is that the speakers, subwoofer and stand are in excellent condition. He eve has the original boxes for them.

I was wondering if anyone thinks this is a good deal or not? I went on ebay and found a few M&K V-1B speakers that sold for over $200 bucks. Thank for your help!

I ended up buying them. Here are some pics. I won’t be able to hook them up until tomorrow. I’ve got to go to work later.

I'm not an audio specialist but I believe that is a good deal!

I believe so as well. They are in excellent condition. I'm just trying to find more literature about them to see what's the best way to connect them. I'm going to be using a BlueSound PowerNode G1 + Spotify Premium with them. Most likely my garage set up!

They sound amazing combined with the sub. However, for some reason or another the subwoofer sporadically stops working. I noticed that the little amp gets pretty hot. I think the amp might be going out.

Can anyone help me out and see if there's another amp I can replace it with? Thank you.


P.S. The owner reimbursed me $25 dollars for the trouble. I ended up paying $100 bucks for these speakers and they sound awesome!
