Whoa Nelly! Bama number 2? Auburn number 5?

I don't remember Bama ever being ranked that high in the initial basketball polls. Someone must think they are going to be pretty good this year.

Granted, I'm not a basketball fan, but I'll be interested to see how they do this season after making it to the Final Four for the first time last year.

Final Four participants usually get high poll numbers. :) Time will tell.

lol... well... it didn't take long for Bama to choke. They just had to play somebody.

lol. At least it wasn’t anybody.

UK was nicely rewarded with a climb in the rankings for a surprise clutch win against out of conference rival (at least in so far as Kentucky fans see it), Duke. We’ll get to see if they’re the real deal when they play Gonzaga in a couple of weeks.

Regardless of how the Cats season goes, having watched the Kansas - UNC game, I think it’s going to be really hard for somebody or anybody, either one, to best Kansas.

UK was looking ok ‘till Clemson last night. Got the Zags on Saturday. I think that’ll be the end of any top 10 ranking for this year, although I’ll hold on to hope for different.

Houston has not done well this year. They were one of the premier top leaders last year but looks like they are not the same winning team anymore.

North Carolina is playing .500 ball right now too... not their usual, although they've dropped off slightly over the last 7-8 years. 2016-17 was the last they won over 30 games. They looked terrible against Bama last night.

The SEC is doing pretty well this year compared to the ACC, which used to own college basketball. Auburn is looking really good.

From what I saw in their game against Kansas this year I’d expect better. Although only 4-3 they were still ranked 20 in the AP and 22 in the coaches, so maybe they are actually better than their record so far. Season is young. Time will tell.

Dick Vitale cancer free and returning to announcing next weekend for the Duke game! What great news! 🙂🙂🙂

Edit: except for the Duke part.

That is indeed great news.

Basketball is weird, for sure... Bama's been crushing just about everyone they play, but they lost to Ole Miss a few days ago and only scored 64 points, then today beat Kentucky, scoring 102 points.

The SEC is killing it this year, although I guess that will change over the next few weeks as we start beating up on each other.
