2024 MLB

So much fun. Having the family come in makes it so much better! Looks like the weather was beautiful as well.

Pretty much perfect if not just a tad chilly.

O’s won on a walk off dinger… nice way to start the season.

A walk-off already. Like you said, great way to kick things off.

Cubs are 2-0. I feel like every team that does well in spring training ends up not being so hot in the regular season. I’m already getting nervous, haha.

Yeah… spring training is a terrible barometer.

Cubs might have a lot of fight in them this year. They had some great streaks last year. 83 Ws!

Hey, Belli’s back! As long as he lives up to his potential I feel it’s at a pretty fair price too. 3 years, $80 million.

I saw that! Big dollars. But not long years…. Hopefully he’ll produce!

What are the 2024 MLB Opening Day games?

The Opening Day games on March 28 are as follows:

Opening Day in the books.

It was cool and windy in Baltimore. 53-degrees with a constant breeze that made it feel like it was in the 40s. Didn't seem to dampen spirits at the yard!

The new ownership was out and about, meeting fans, taking selfies. Fans are feeling confident.

Was a tad strange to have that much energy feeling with the bridge collapse/disaster being a stone's throw away. Yesterday was the first day I saw the bridge, or what's left of it. What you see on TV doesn't quite represent how long the bridge is/was.

Crazy

What!?!?

Having lived in Philly for 8 years, I love their fans and the passion. Obviously, they have some issues, but you’re more likely to attend a game and not see it.

We go back for a game or two every year. It’s a great experience - I went to a World Series game two years ago. It was simply awesome to be in that stadium!

I have, but I can watch it over and over without getting tired of it. Pretty impressive flying!
Feels very “Cub-like” to watch our ace get injured on opening day.

I saw those highlights… and to lose the game, too. Argh

@Mike Schramm, it looks like the Cubs have bounced by nicely... Pittsburgh is looking like they might be a problem in the Central!

@JBrax the Royals are getting close. They've got some spice!

Yeah, things are looking a little brighter on the north side. I'm not so sure about the Pirates. They seem to start strong every year, then their wheels fall off and things decline quickly. Any Pirates fans out there feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

They definitely have some pieces. The pitching looks promising early and that’s huge! It would be nice to stay relevant and have a chance. O’s are going to be a powerhouse this year me thinks.

Very impressed with the Royals starters. Who knows… Central is kinda weak this year. Could be a good time for the chiefs to make a move!

I know. Crazy thing is, the O’s have about 4-5 more beasts coming!

Must be nice! Our farm system needs help. I think we’ll get there but it’s been the main reason for all of these lean years. We have some pieces though.

I didn't realize he is Matt's son. Pretty cool. I just watched a few videos on him, looks like he should be the real deal. Exciting times!

How about those Cubbies! They are looking alright so far. Your Orioles are doing well too @Todd Anderson. This is shaping up to be a really fun season.

Cubs are rockin’ it! Looks like it’s going to be a great season at Wriggley! Tauchman is having a solid season…

Os are looking great. We just got two starting pitchers back off the IL, but lost one in the process…. And are having some growing pains with some of the young bats coming up and struggling with MLB pitching. But, lots of positives!

I went to see the Os and Yanks last night. Baltimore lost… lots of Yankee fans at Camden. Hate hearing them celebrate on our home turf - but, sadly, it’s a familiar sound

Ugh, that would be tough to listen to. That game brought New York into a tie with Baltimore, correct? Even more salt in the wound.

Steele (our ace) looks like he'll be back sooner rather than later, so that's another plus for the Cubs. Poor Hendricks just doesn't have it anymore, I think it may be time to move on.

Sorry to any Pittsburgh fans out there, but the Pirates did exactly what they do every year. Start out great for the first week or two, then just completely fall off the shelf.

Yes, tho Baltimore is percentage points ahead because NY has played two more games.

GREAT call on the Pirates... you said that would happen. Tho, Paul Skenes might debut soon. Who knows, maybe he'll light a fire and get the Pirates rolling again.

So, what did you think of that call at the plate last night (Cubs v Mets). To my eye, it sure looked like Alonso got his hand in there. I'm surprised it didn't get over turned
