(July 30, 2025) CEDIA Expo 2025 is shaping up to be a pivotal event for Trinnov, as the company has recently revealed a significant software update destined to breathe a new level of excitement into its flagship Altitude16 and Altitude32 processors. This refresh, highlighted by a completely redesigned user interface and updated immersive audio capabilities, delivers the modernization that Altitude platform owners have been eagerly awaiting.

Key improvements include a fully revamped interface designed for ease of use, improved system configuration, and streamlined calibration processes. According to Trinnov, the updated UI maintains the depth and flexibility that integrators and end-users expect, while simplifying daily interactions.

On the technical front, the new software includes Trinnov’s latest decoding capabilities for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, and Auro-3D, alongside enhanced upmixing features such as Dolby Surround processing on wide channels. Importantly, it preserves the extensive capabilities that have made the Altitude platform a staple in high-performance audio environments, including the company's proprietary Optimizer, WaveForming, and Remapping functions.

Trinnov CEO Arnaud Laborie emphasizes that the refresh is about more than just immediate improvements, underscoring the company’s long-term strategy: “We have significantly updated the Trinnov Altitude experience, with new features, streamlined operation, and a user-friendly interface that will improve the experience for professionals and consumers alike. True to our commitment to long-term value, we’re offering these substantial improvements as a free software upgrade. With this update, the entire Altitude line is engineered to handle future developments—and if you’re an Altitude owner, it’s already yours.”

The update also introduces important architectural enhancements designed to prepare Altitude processors for additional features down the road, demonstrating Trinnov’s commitment to the platform's sustainability and longevity.

If you're an owner, patience will need to be embraced. Trinnov says the refresh is scheduled to begin shipping, pre-installed, on all new Altitude16 and Altitude32 units by year’s end. Current owners can expect the rollout to reach existing installations progressively into 2026, following a structured validation process to ensure a smooth upgrade experience.

Because of the complexity and comprehensive nature of this update, it must be performed by an authorized dealer. Owners interested in upgrading should coordinate directly with their integrators. While upgrading is necessary to access future improvements, Trinnov says current software users will receive continued support throughout the transition period.

Attendees of CEDIA Expo in Denver, September 3-6, 2025, can experience the new Altitude interface firsthand at Trinnov’s High Performance Audio room 208, where the company will provide training sessions and interactive demonstrations.
