Thousand Oaks, CA, September 7, 2021 - Zesto Audio is pleased to announce the launch of their new Reference Grade Phonostage. The product is fondly known around the shop as the T-REF, which stands for the Andros Téssera Reference Phonostage.

Building on the success of the 2018 "Phonostage Product of the Year", the new T-REF is a complete electronic redesign of all the circuits, power supply and each component carefully curated to optimize it's potential.
George Counnas, President and Chief Engineer says, “I’m proud to give this product the Reference label. The design synergy really came together. It’s quieter, more musical and the detail from the groove is quite astonishing.” It’s the kind of product that people will say, “I never heard that from my vinyl before.”

The Andros Téssera Reference accommodates up to 4 tonearms
with 2 MM and 2 MC inputs with fully transformer balanced outputs.
Each independent dual Mono channel has 2 sets of ground loop switches.

What's different?

Here are 3 main differences to the T-REF:

New ESP Supply design using 3 Toroids which unlocks the true potential of the main circuit, so it is at ease and doesn’t have to work as hard.

New tube configuration with the use of the 12DW7/ECC832, as well as 12AU7s & 12AX7s, which allows for the smoothest transition from the input section to outputs, providing the cleanest and most musical path for your signal.

New upgraded components and circuit design to deliver more musical detail, with a tighter bass, greater dynamic range, and increased headroom.
Still 100% Analog tube circuitry throughout the signal path.

Dual chassis with ESP Supply

The new ESP Supply design is powered by 3 Toroids transformers. The extra
long 3 meter umbilical cable incorporates a special RFI suppression for lower black levels, using a unique 4 pin locking Bayonet connector rated for high voltage and high current.

George Counnas is the founder, president, and design engineer for Zesto Audio. He has loved music all his life and went from a musician, to an electronics engineer, to an audio engineer. As a young man in England, in his first shop class project he built a tonearm. Later in college he designed vacuum tube circuits and his first amplifier. He worked for DECCA Navigator (now Raytheon), at the time Britain's largest electronics company, as part of the research and development team designing airborne navigational systems for the Royal Air Force. George brings to Zesto Audio the unique set of talents of not only designing, creating, and manufacturing the highest build quality of high-end electronic equipment, but also as an audio engineer, he knows how great music should sound.

Zesto Audio was established in 2010 in Thousand Oaks, California. Zesto Audio is a manufacturer of fine analog audio electronics, specializing in vacuum tube technology. Their award winning products include the Andros II, Andros Deluxe II and the Andros Tèssera Reference Phonostages, the Andros Allasso Step Up Transformer, the Leto Ultra II Line Amp, the Bia 120 Stereo Power Amp, and the Eros 300 Monoblocks.
