Wrapped and tinted my RAM

Just had my truck wrapped with the Xpel Stealth matte PPF and tinted the windows with the Xpel Prime XR Plus.

What kind of prep work does it take to get the original paint surface ready for that kind of effect?

It just needs to be cleaned and polished so that there is nothing on the surface. Some vehicles may require buffing. This one was fairly easy because it was brand new with less than 500 miles on it. I basically drove it from the dealership home and then to the wrap shop.

There's a car in our neighborhood that looks similar (color wise). I think it's a Genesis crossover. Anyhow, I thought the finish was unique to Genesis - didn't realize that wrapping was a thing!

It looks great in person.

How durable is it? Would it survive with all of the bumps and nicks that cars get in cities and parking garages?

PPF is Paint Protection Film and protects against light scratches and rock chips. It has some pretty serious self-healing properties. It's fairly thick and can withstand a pretty good bump, but it obviously will have its limits.
