So my MacBook Pro Early 2011 finally died (hopefully I can find someone to fix it) so I bought an inexpensive Lenovo ideapad 110. It has Windows 10 and an odd quirk that I find really irritating; every couple of minutes Cortana pops up when using the touch pad. Anyone else experience this? I have everything related to Cortana turned off but it still pops up. Seems to affect all sorts of computers. Anyone found a fix for this?

Haven't had that issue with any of my PC. Run windows 10 Pro 64 Bit. Have you done all the updates, maybe one of them will fix the issue.
Of note my laptop and desktop are not touch screen.

I have a new laptop with Windows 10 Home and Cortona is pretty much non-existent. I got rid of the search bar and guess I turned it off. I know the early versions of it were rather pesky... but the latest updates should take care of it.

I am not crazy about Windows 10, but you can't get the latest Intel processors with anything but 10 now. 7 won't run on them. So... I use Classic Shell and get the Win 7 look for most things.

The best fix, Mark, is to get a new MacBook :T

Mark... do NOT get one of those MacDonald computers... Todd has had nothing but trouble with that thing since we started. :sarcastic:

I do NOT agree with Sonnie.

I'm looking for the thumbs down button, Sonnie... I guess we didn't install one of those?

All I can say is: Thank you, Apple. Computers are in my world, but they're not in my world. :T

Have all the latest updates, check every day hoping it will fix the issue. Seems to be something to do with the trackpad/touchpad that triggers it but I can't figure out what.
Really not interested in a new Mac, way too much money considering what Apple did to it. If I could find a new 2012 MacBook Pro then I would buy it but the new ones, no thanks.
Perhaps I'll look into disabling in the registry since nothing else has worked so far.
Sure wish this new one had a backlit keyboard, that's probably the thing I miss most about my old MacBook Pro.

I'd go on the Microsoft community & ask how to turn if off the correct way. Those guys are real helpful & get back to your post quickly.

Appears to be only the touchpad. If I plug in my Logitech MX500 Cortana behaves but is a constant issue when using the touchpad.
