Windows 10 KB4512508 reducing input levels

Hi. I hope this helps anybody with the same issue I just encountered. After installing Windows 10 update KB4512508, my recording input levels were drastically reduced. I discovered that the update had reduced the input level of my recording device from 100 to 25. If you get the same problem, go into control panel, sound, then the recording tab and select the device you are using for input, then in its properties, click on the levels tab and check what level they are set at.
