(May 14, 2025) WiiM has raised the curtain on three major additions to its smart audio ecosystem, showcasing the new WiiM Amp Ultra, WiiM Sound, and WiiM Sub Pro at High End Munich 2025. These new products represent WiiM's most ambitious expansion yet, marking its entry into smart speaker and subwoofer categories, while delivering meaningful upgrades to its amplifier lineup.

For a company known for feature-rich, affordable audio gear that punches above its weight, the Amp Ultra, in particular, signals a move toward more premium territory. Designed with input from its active user community, it blends sleek industrial design with serious amplification capabilities and an interface designed for modern home use.

WiiM Amp Ultra: Power Meets Precision

Housed in an aluminum chassis with a 3.5" glass-covered touchscreen, the Amp Ultra pushes out 200W per channel into 4 ohms (100W into 8 ohms), powered by dual Texas Instruments TPA3255 Class-D amplifier chips. A premium ESS ES9039Q2M SABRE DAC and six TI OPA1612 op-amps deliver high-resolution audio with -106 dB THD+N and 120 dB SNR at 5W.

Connectivity options include HDMI ARC, a dedicated subwoofer output, and support for Dolby Digital decoding, making it well-suited for media center duties. Onboard room correction and a 10-band parametric EQ allow for finely tuned output, while Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 LE Audio, and multi-platform streaming support (Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Chromecast, Alexa Cast) ensure future-ready flexibility and access to high-quality content.

The touchscreen is the Amp Ultra's most intriguing physical feature, providing real-time control over playback and input switching. It also stands as a visual embellishment, offering owners access to a visual VU meter and custom wallpapers. The Amp Ultra also comes bundled with the WiiM Voice Remote 2 for hands-free operation.

WiiM Sound and Sub Pro: Smart, Scalable Audio

Joining the Amp Ultra are two firsts for the brand: the WiiM Sound, a compact, high-res smart speaker, and the WiiM Sub Pro, a wireless 250W subwoofer designed to integrate seamlessly with other WiiM products.

The WiiM Sound features a 4-inch woofer and dual-balanced mode radiator tweeters, pushing 100W of output and supporting playback up to 24-bit/192 kHz resolutions. Built-in room correction, a 1.8" touchscreen, and stereo pairing capabilities allow for flexible use, from background music to full surround sound roles.

The WiiM Sub Pro, on the other hand, uses an 8-inch driver powered by a Class-D amplifier to deliver 250W RMS with a frequency response of 25Hz to 200Hz. It includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and RCA input for flexible wired and wireless setups, plus auto room correction for optimized low-end performance.

All three new products integrate natively with the WiiM Home App, allowing for multi-room grouping, automatic room EQ, and streaming service access from platforms like Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify, and Amazon Music. Each unit can be controlled via Alexa, Google Assistant, or the WiiM Voice Remote.

All three products are set to ship in Q3 2025 and will be available via Amazon and select retail partners. Pricing has yet to be announced.
