My wife, Angie, started feeling bad Friday, running a slight fever, and she had a bad headache. She woke up Saturday feeling better, although her back was still sore. Yesterday, she seemed fine, and we thought all was good. Today, we drive to Montgomery, AL, about 50 miles north of us, to take her car to the body shop to repair her front bumper from where a deer ran out in front of her. We made a few stops, goofing around a bit, and decided to stop and eat at Five Guys (we love their burgers). After we ate, she started feeling bad, lost consciousness, and passed out. The way the event unfolded was quite dramatic, as it was more complicated than I can explain, but I thought she was having a seizure for a moment. Then, after she came to, she slurred her words for a few seconds, then just sat on the floor like she was spaced out, but her speech became normal. I wasn't sure what had just happened. The paramedics got there, and her blood pressure was 76/58, and her pulse was fluctuating from 45-58. She was still somewhat wonky acting. They gave her an IV of fluid, and she felt better. After about 45 minutes, she was able to stand up and felt pretty good. We called her doctor, and he said if she had any more fainting spells to take her to the ER, but otherwise, bring her to him in the morning. We got home and decided to test her for COVID, and low and behold, she tested positive. We suspect this was what caused it all, but wow... what a frightening day. Hopefully, she will be okay, but if you pray... please pray for Angie... thank you!

Thoughts and prayers for you and yours @Sonnie...

Thanks, guys! The doctor's nurse called back today and canceled the appt... said the fainting was caused by COVID and dehydration, which is not a good combo with all the meds she takes. He basically said there was really only one course of action for her right now. She has to stay hydrated well, and he gave her the latest COVID prescription, Lagevrio, which is supposed to keep it from getting any worse. She feels fine right now and will be staying home with me the rest of the week, so I'm her doctor for now. :whistling:

I take C, Zink, D3, Nattokinase, NAC, Quercetin, B12, Panax Ginseng daily or every other day... Not been sick with anything for years... And a bit of Ivermectin doesn't hurt...

Wishing you and yours the best @Sonnie...

I've been taking Thorne Research Multi, D, and Zinc daily for several years. It's been a couple of years since I even had a cold.

I'm not sure how I have avoided COVID all these years though... as I've been all around it. Angie has done well up until now... finally got her, although the symptoms were mild with the exception of the onset fever and a headache on Friday. I guess I should have known better... no congestion, no coughing, no stuffiness, what else could it be but likely viral.

Prayers for speedy recovery.

Thanks again guys... she's feeling her chipper self today, and her blood pressure is back to what it normally runs. We've been monitoring it hourly.

Wow Sonnie!! That was a big scare. I'm sorry she and you had to go through this but very much relieved that things appear to be on the mend. I'm glad she feels better!! Keep up the monitoring.

So scary. Sorry you and Angie had to go through that but happy she's feeling better today. You guys will definitely be in my prayers. Keep us updated, please.
