HI there.
I searched the forum for the use of Impulse response to get optimal 2 ch speakers setup.
All of them are about subwoofer.
Is there a guideline available for a stereo system? Thank you very much.

Optimal in what way? For most purposes the frequency response provides the best info for placement decisions.

For optimal speaker placement you could try this methodology I stumbled upon written by Pierre Sprey of Mapleshade Records. It works pretty well as a starting point.

"To set speaker distance from the wall behind, start with the cabinet rear 18” away. Listen, move them 6” forward, repeat. As you move forward, imaging will improve but bass boost will decrease. Pick the distance that gives you the best balance."

"For speaker spacing, start with the speakers 1/3 further apart than your ear-to-speaker distance (which should be 5’, as above). Increase spacing 6” at a time until the center image collapses, then subtract 6”."

I'm with John... frequency response will help. Have you checked out the Cardas recommendations?
