UMIK-1 not appearing in input list

When I first plugged the UMIK-1 mic to the Laptop it showed in the input list (and I got a message saying new input device connected from the laptop), but now it is not recognised. Tried unplugging/plugging/reloading REL. The light on the mic is coming on but nothing else showing it is connected. Any ideas thanks? Its a Dell laptop running Windows 10. The Mic appears to be installed if you go to Installed Devices on the Laptop.

Ah I think I've solved it. The mini USB lead was faulty and did not push all the way in at the mic end. Changed the lead and all looks OK now
